Pups Now Welcome at WDW

Pups Now Welcome at WDW

Pups and Disney World. Is this heaven?

Your favorite fluffy companion can now accompany you to select resorts at WDW. Of course, there's rules and regulations but this is still exciting news.

Starting on October 15th, there will be four WDW resorts checking-in man's best friend. These are Disney's Yacht Club Resort, Disney's Art of Animation Resort, The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Disney Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. According to the Disney Parks website this will come with a fee per night. The fee will range up to $75 per night. Any pups are welcome as long as they are leashed at all times, trained, vaccinated up to certain standards.

Upon arrival your pup will receive a welcome kit including essentials like a mat, bowls, a pet ID tag, plastic disposable bags, puppy pads and dog walking maps. I love the welcome kit idea. It's that extra little pixie dust for people who know the struggles of traveling with dogs. Rest assured while at the parks. Disney will provide special "Do Not Disturb" signs letting staff know a dog is in the room and for another added fee you can send your pup to doggy day care at the appropriately named "Best Friends" facility.

It's great to see that our pooches can now experience the most magical place on earth.

Who's bringing their dog on their next WDW trip?

Holiday Filming Schedules Released

Holiday Filming Schedules Released

'Tis the season. The holiday season and Disney are a match made in heaven.

Disney is slated to start filming its Holiday Specials in November. Filming at Walt Disney World will take place November 3rd through the 7th. There's going to be several shows airing throughout the holiday season. My favorite is Christmas morning. It's become a tradition to watch the show and parade, cook some breakfast and open presents.

This seasons schedule will follow the same format as last year. Walt Disney World will host the stage performances and musical acts while Disneyland will be filming the parades. Unless you're a cast member, good luck getting close to the action. Cast members have first access to being extras, while the rest of us get designated to guest areas.

Who enjoys these shows as much as we do? Who will be heading to the parks to try and get on tv?

2 New Additions to Animal Kingdom Lodge

2 New Additions to Animal Kingdom Lodge

What's better than one baby giraffe? Two baby giraffes.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge announced the birth of two new adorable members coming to its savanna. They are scheduled to make their debut by the end of the year.

Rori gave birth to Gemma, at roughly 160 pounds and 6 feet tall...wow. Also, last month Azizi gave birth to a boy named Griffon.

I found this extra exciting and wanted to share with you all for two reasons. First, who doesn't want to hear about or see pictures of baby giraffes. And second, for a long time Janey and I have been wanting to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge with a room facing the savanna. I think now the possibility of waking up to baby giraffes right outside our window may be the extra motivation we need to book this trip. We'll keep you posted.
